This year on 22nd of July Lithuania visited guests from Great Britain.
Bredworth Rotary club member Poul Beedham and 17 years old Amanda Amaral from
Brazil who lives at Pouls house as a
winner of Rotary exchange program
scholarship. She came to England to study for a year .
In Lithuania Poul and Amanda had spent a great and pithy time.
At first day of
our guests journey they visited Panevėžys and the other day they visited
Klaipeda Rotaract club memebers.
In port town
guests was entertained by Dagnė and her mother national dish cepelinai and
other tastefull dishes, they took a look to Klaipėda city from high buildings,
took look around Klaipėda University town, wich impresed them his
architecture.
Also we show the
Europeade - festival of European folk culture, for our guests. Poul and Amanda
repeat many times how much they like the festival and how happy they are to see
it. Europeade festival made everybody glad, the
costiumes of dancers and their
sincerity.
Andrius, Dagnė
and Sandra impressed by Europeade festival desided to show for Poul and Amanda
the place as known as place with marvellous views, Olandų kepurė.
The other day
was dedicated for Klaipeda old town – visiting the mouse, dragon and cat .
Also we visited
the fair wich was opened durig Europeade festival, admired the Lithuanian
flag which took a jouney with
„Ambersail“ crew, in Cruise
Ship Terminal. Guests were tempted to visit Klaipeda Castle museum, to know more about Klaipeda history.
Amanda liked travelling around the Lithuania, she promised to come back one more
time, because she wants to know better this country, and Paul was impressed by
hospitality of club and express his wish to make a close conection with Klaipeda “Senamiesčio”
Rotaract club.
